Pumpkin Patch and Izzy pre-Birthday!

This weekend we had the pleasure of getting together with Dusty's sister down in San Antonio. Saturday Morning we had breakfast with the whole Maxwell Clan. Dusty's parents were in town so we Dusty's brother and his wife and two kids over and then Dusty's Sister, husband and their son Eli. It was a little crazy with 5 kids in the house and 8 adults. It was a really good visit though.
We then proceeded to go out to medina, TX to a really neat pumpkin patch. They had pumpkins everywhere. We built a scarecrow, which Ethan loved! We saw, horses, goats, cows, piglets, lama, ducks, chicken and a really really big dog. We had the pleasure of listening to two cowboys sing songs and tell stories. They had three authentic Native Americans giving a presentation of their culture and dance.
We then came home to let Izzy dive into her birthday cake. She loved it!! Ethan didn't destroy his cake near as much as Izzy did. That's my girl! So of course I took pictures! But beware of poor miss Izzy's head. She fell out of the first story screen window watching Ethan jumping on the trampoline. So she's got a nasty booboo! You know, just in time for birthday pictures!! Errrr!

A well delayed post from the summer time.....

Well I totally forgot about all of our pictures and the vacation we took this summer. We went to Port Aransas and camped on the beach. It was an experience! We've been wanting to go camping and we wanted to take a trip that didn't cost a lot so camping does the trick.  We get there and it's just beautiful. We didn't even want to set up camp yet, we just wanted to go straight to the beach. We did set up camp and we went to the beach and swam a lot! The bad thing was is that I was way to afraid to put Izzy out too deep. So we stayed mostly on land, where it was SAFE! She was in texture heaven. The waves coming in and out. The Sand, the shells, the seaweed and the salt on her skin. She was soaking it in and loving every minute of it. Ethan and Dusty mostly stayed and played in the waves. Ethan would make an awesome surfer and beach bum! We brought our bikes and the bike trailer to haul the kids around and we went everywhere. That was my favorite part of the trip! The kids loved it too. We pretty much cooked all of our food on open fire, which was really hard to keep lit because of all the wind, but it was still fun and we made some really interesting camp food!

Here are some pics from the trip!
